Before joining Avellino, Siw was Vice President of R&amp;D at IDbyDNA, where she led the commercialization of&nbsp;Precision Metagenomics applications for infectious disease. Prior to this,&nbsp;she was the Head of Business for the Roche CLIA laboratory in San Jose, Calif., which provides molecular diagnostic testing services for non-invasive prenatal testing, along with oncology testing services for pharmaceuticals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her work includes leading the research and development teams for the commercialization of the world\u2019s first blood-based genomic test for diagnosing obstructive coronary artery disease.&nbsp;Siw has also held senior research and development roles for Incyte Genomics and Sequana Therapeutics, early pioneers using genomic information to understand the molecular basis of human disease.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Siw received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wales in Cardiff; conducted postdoctoral research as a fellow at the Welcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics at the University of Oxford; and earned her B.Sc. with Honors in Biochemistry from the University of Wales, Cardiff College.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chief Scientific Officer <\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":16050,"template":"","meta":{"_eb_attr":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-12060","team","type-team","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-management-team"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/avellino.ai\/sg\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/team\/12060","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/avellino.ai\/sg\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/team"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/avellino.ai\/sg\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/team"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/avellino.ai\/sg\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/16050"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/avellino.ai\/sg\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=12060"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/avellino.ai\/sg\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=12060"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/avellino.ai\/sg\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=12060"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
